The company began preparing for concrete pouring. Unfortunately, we ran into a few problems (namely a 12 foot deep hole full of tree stumps and various odds and ends, and oh yeah, a lot of rain and snow!).

Pouring Upper Wall

The work begins with Chris Burge (our contractor) eating away at the wall of dirt we used to call a yard on December 30, 2000.

This is where we ran into trouble. This tree root was rotting in our backyard in a HUGE hole! It was discovered on our first day of dirt removal.

Next forms are set up and the concrete is poured. This began January 25, 2001.

Once the wall was set, the forms were removed from it, and the forms for the slab were set up. Concrete came next here on January 26, 2001.
