The Deck

The major project for Spring-Autumn 2003 was staining the deck. Niki didn't want boring, so we used 3 colors. We began by pressure washing and staining the deck. Yes, all of it (and beginning the arbor). No, I'm not crazy. It's been fun (and I've learned to pressure wash without injuring anyone!). At least I didn't have to climb the ladder to get the outer edges!

More photos of staining in progress. We did a section each weekend, depending on the weather. One weekend may have been spent pressure washing with the following weekend then spent staining.

We've continued to work until the last weekend we could- October. With the time change, we lost an hour of worktime and it was getting too cool!
